Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 15, 2026

This policy explains what Scaffold, operated by Tech! Inc., doing business as Tech Inc ("we," "us"), collects when you use scaffoldprep.ai, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

Account information. Your email address and the sign-in codes we send it, plus your name and phone number if you provide them.

Study activity. Your answers, scores, ladder progress, spaced-repetition schedule, practice exam and full-length exam attempts, and streaks — this is the product working: it's how the platform knows what's due and where you stand.

Tutor conversations. Messages you send the AI tutor and its responses, so the feature works and so we can maintain quality and prevent abuse.

Purchase information. Stripe processes payments. We receive confirmation of your purchase, the pass type, and billing basics; we never see or store your full card number. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

Technical and usage information. Server logs (IP address, device and browser type, timestamps), pages viewed, and actions taken. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and understand how the site is used, and we may use advertising pixels — ours and our advertising and analytics partners' — to measure our marketing and show you relevant ads on other platforms.

Information from others. When you sign up through an ad, a referral, or a partner, we may receive information about how you found us.

2. How we use it

To provide the Service (serve questions, schedule reviews, score exams, run the tutor); to process purchases and manage your pass; to keep the Service secure and prevent abuse; to improve the platform; to communicate with you about your account and purchases; and to market Scaffold and related products to you and to people like you — including by email, by text message where you have provided a phone number, through advertising on platforms such as Meta and Google, and by building audiences for and measuring that advertising.

3. Marketing communications

By creating an account or providing your contact details, you agree that we may send you marketing emails about Scaffold, exam dates, study tips, offers, and related products. If you provide a phone number, you agree that we may send you text messages for the same purposes; message and data rates may apply. You can stop marketing emails with the unsubscribe link in any message and stop texts by replying STOP. Account and purchase messages continue regardless, because they are part of the Service.

4. Who we share it with

  • Service providers that make the platform run — payment processing (Stripe), AI processing for the tutor and typed-answer features, hosting, database, and email and text-message delivery.
  • Advertising and analytics partners, when we advertise — such as Meta, Google, and similar platforms — which may collect information through cookies and pixels on our site and combine it with information they hold, to measure our advertising and show you ads. Their use of that information is governed by their own policies.
  • Affiliates and successors. If Scaffold moves to an affiliate or successor entity, or is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may transfer to that entity under this policy's protections, and we will update the entity name above and notify account holders by email.
  • As required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Scaffold, our users, or the public.

5. Retention

We keep your account and study data while your account is active — study history is what powers spaced repetition, so deleting it mid-pass would break the product you paid for. Purchase records are retained as required for tax and accounting. Marketing records are retained until you opt out and for a reasonable period afterward to honor that choice. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except records we're legally required to keep.

6. Your choices and rights

You can access and update your account information in the app, unsubscribe from marketing email with the link in any message, and stop texts by replying STOP. To opt out of targeted advertising based on your activity on our site, or to request a copy of your data or deletion of your account, email support@scaffoldprep.ai; we will verify the request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Depending on where you live, state law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal data. We honor requests as the law requires and do not discriminate against you for making them. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data — encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege administration. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify you as required by law.

8. Children

The Service is for adults preparing for a professional certification. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States under this policy.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, where appropriate, emailed to account holders. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
